Why I Love Photography

What a privilege it is to capture one of the most important moments in a couple’s life. A wedding is so much more than a celebration—it’s the beginning of the rest of your lives together. It’s in that spirit that I set out to tell your story through the lens of my camera.

Imagine yourselves years from now, celebrating an anniversary or sharing your wedding photos with your children. How beautiful would it be to be transported back to that day—to remember not just how everything looked but how it all felt—every smile, every tear, every moment in between. That’s the true power of photography.

Your photographs are what remain after the wedding day has passed. They’re more than just a record of the details of the decor—they’re a lasting reflection of your emotions, your connection, and your love. My goal is to capture those moments in the most beautiful and meaningful way—so that your story can be remembered, felt, and cherished for generations to come.

How I Became a Photographer

I was just a kid when I received my first camera—a Polaroid that printed classic square-format photos (remember those?). That simple gift sparked a lifelong passion that led me to learn from some of the top portrait and wedding photographers in the world. As a teenager, I landed a job at a newspaper in Tennessee, where I was responsible for the commercial photography used in marketing campaigns. I also photographed people at local events to help bring the community stories to life in the paper’s local section.

Over the years, I explored many different photography styles—but nothing truly moved me to pursue photography professionally until the day I found out I was going to be a dad. My love for my daughter unlocked a more profound passion for photographing people—one I hadn’t experienced before. I became determined to capture as many meaningful, beautiful moments of her as I possibly could. Today, I am the proud father of two wonderful girls, and my love for documenting life through photography has only grown.

Since then, I’ve had the joy of capturing countless wonderful stories, and I hope to keep telling these for many years to come.

Your story deserves to be told with care, and I would be honored to help you tell it. If that resonates with you, I’m only a message away to begin planning something beautiful.
